Even if you are not ashamed of lice (getting them does not mean your personal hygiene is lacking); it is still not exactly pleasant. They naturally cause itching, and the idea of bugs crawling over your head is quite scary for some. In the past, the anti-lice treatment was almost as unpleasant as the lice themselves, but thanks to Elimax, those days are gone. We compare the old wet-combing method with the steps you need to take using Elimax. Decide for yourself what works easiest!

The Wet-Combing Method: A Thing of the Past

If you spotted lice in the past, you had to resort to the wet-combing method. It was not only cumbersome and intensive, but also sometimes painful for people with a lot of hair.

These were the steps you had to go through:

  • Wash the hair with regular shampoo.
  • Rinse out the shampoo and apply conditioner.
  • Comb out the knots with a regular comb.
  • Systematically comb the hair with a lice comb from front to back (starting behind one ear and moving to the other), making sure you pressed the comb close enough to the scalp.
  • Clean the comb after each stroke.
  • Rinse out the conditioner.
  • Comb the hair again, but now from front to back.

In total, you were busy combing for about half an hour. Moreover, you had to repeat the treatment every 3 to 4 days until you found no more lice.

Using Elimax Shampoo: A Piece of Cake

Treating lice with Elimax Shampoo is thankfully much simpler:

  • Apply the shampoo to dry hair with the handy applicator.
  • Spread the product well over the entire scalp and over the full length of the hair, but especially at the nape of the neck and behind the ears.
  • Comb the hair thoroughly while the product is on.
  • Leave the product on for fifteen minutes (or keep combing for fifteen minutes).
  • Wet the hair so that the product starts to foam, and wash the hair. You do not need to wash it again with regular shampoo.

All that remains then is to check the hair after 7 days. If you still see lice, you repeat the treatment.
